Software Engineer- Anh-Thu Huynh

About Anh-Thu Huynh

My name is Anh-Thu Huynh and I'm a software engineer based in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, I work on an interdisciplinary team at Square, where engineers like me collaborate with designers and others to build reusable UI (user interface) components -- think reusable Lego blocks, but in code! Our goal is to produce useful and consistent tools for the teams that work on Square's customer-facing products, so they can get their work done faster and better. My previous experience includes working at a public data startup, at a small business lending startup, in the newsroom and the R&D department at the New York Times, and on the Obama 2012 campaign. I'm a self-taught programmer, but attended the University of Chicago for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in sociology. Growing up, I always enjoyed playing with computers and learning more about how websites work, and I love having a career where I get to do that every day!
